TOO MANY KOOKS poem by Dave Till
You can have too many thoughts crowding your mind
Too many judgements you could label 'unkind'
You can have too few Indians, and too many Chiefs
Too many grey pairs in a drawer of white briefs
You can have too many grey strands in a head full of hair
Too many logos on your new outer wear
You can have too many bankers with a million quid bonus
Or too much mortgage so the banks think they own us
You can have too many meetings, too many choices
Too much discussion from too many voices
You can do too many diets, too many cleanses
Wear too many glasses with rose-tinted lenses
You can have too much of Facebook, too much of telly
Too many chocolates expanding your belly
Too many friends with birthdays this week
Too many phone calls when you don't want to speak
Too many passwords, too many PINs
Too many bookmarks, too many chins
You can have too many appliances, too many books
Too many wrinkles ruining your looks
Too many nips, too many tucks
Too many caravans, too many trucks
Too many refusals, too many rebukes
Too many earls and too many dukes
Too many skeletons, too many spooks
But you can't have ...
Too Many Kooks
